MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — What was first deemed a flop by critics not only found new life several years later, but is still drawing crowds after 50 years.
Rocky Horror Picture Show is celebrating 50 years with a 40-city tour of the United States and Canada, and one of those stops is Mobile. That stop includes an appearance by actor Barry Bostwick, who played Brad Majors in the movie.
The movie follows an innocent, and maybe even a bit naive, couple — Brad and Janet, played by Bostwick and Susan Sarandon, who experience a flat tire during a storm in the middle of nowhere, leaving them to seek shelter and help at a nearby, eerie-looking house. There, they meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist, played by Tim Curry, and his house full of eccentric characters.
