ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The New Mexico State Fair announced the winners of this year's high school culinary competition, where the best green chile stew is crowned State Fair Champion. In this event, several high schools from the state are gathered to compete in a green chile stew cook-off; the winner earns money for its school's culinary program.
According to New Mexico State Fair officials, Carlsbad High School was crowned in the competition for the second consecutive year, earning $5,000 that will help their culinary program.
