A West Town man is charged in a fatal August shooting in his neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

Antwan Mclaurin, 23, faces a first-degree murder charge, police said.

Officers responded about 11:40 p.m., Aug. 2 to the 1000 block of North Noble Street, where they found Jimvonta Blossom, 24, in a car with a gunshot wound to his head, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Another man, 50, was found with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Blossom was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later was pronounced dead, according to the medical examiner’s office, which ruled his death a homicide. The other man was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

Mclaurin is expected to appear in court Thursday.
