A Sydney man has found a winning Powerball ticket worth $1.4 million after it sat for five and a half weeks collecting dust in his dresser.
The Kellyville father unknowingly held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4595, drawn on August 2. Every winning entry pocketed $1,428,571.43.
His winning entry wasn't registered to The Lott Members Club so officials from The Lott couldn't contact the ticket holder and were left waiting for him to check his ticket.

After not realising he'd become an instant millionaire, he says he was stunned when he discovered his good fortune.
