It's always special to play for your hometown team and just before the NFL regular season began, Scottsdale’s own Kedon Slovis was signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.
The Desert Mountain High School product is now suiting up as Arizona’s third quarterback for the team he grew up rooting for. Slovis is focused on learning his teammates’ names and the Cardinals' playbook, but he expressed his excitement about returning to his home state and reconnecting with his past.
“It feels great. Family’s super excited, I’m super excited. A lot of familiarity and grew up a huge Cardinals fan, so it's really cool to be in locker room,” Slovis said. “My mom sent a few pictures the other day.
