Fresh details have emerged on phase 2 of housing plans at the former Hawkesbury Golf Course. There are huge multi-million plans to transform the former golf course into a giant 'canalside' village between Bedworth and Coventry .

The huge scheme has not been without controversy. Locals opposed the plans and, back in 2018, cried 'shame on you' to councillors after the land was approved to be part of future housing plans in the borough.

So far, full planning permission has been granted for phase 1 - 110 homes, including reserved matters. Now a new application has been submitted for phase 2.

Outline planning permission has been approved for 66 new homes plus open space, landscaping, pedestrian and cycle routes. Now the new application seeks the go-ahead for reserved matters.
