The Mockingbird Sings

Jimmie Rodgers returns to Bristol. So do The Carter Family. Likewise, Ernest “Pop” Stoneman. Ralph Peer, too. Well, sort of.

Dramatized and enroute to becoming an annual tradition, Theatre Bristol presents “The Mockingbird Sings.” Catch its historic charm on Friday, Sept. 12, through Thursday, Sept. 18, at Theatre Bristol’s uber-cool ARTspace Theatre in Bristol, Tennessee. Co-directed by Susan McNabb and Barbara Walton, Seth Gilstrap plays fictional budding country singer Eddie Snow.

“Seth learned to play guitar for the role,” said Samantha Gray, executive director of Theatre Bristol. “There are 35 songs in this show. The story comes to life on stage.”
