Fremantle defender Ash Brazill believes slowing down the pace of West Coast with ball in hand will be pivotal to keeping the wood over their crosstown rivals in this weekend’s AFLW derby.

The Dockers sit 16th with a 1-3 record, having lost three straight games, while West Coast are knocking on the top four after another come-from-behind win against Port Adelaide.

The Eagles have never tasted victory in an AFLW derby but will enter Sunday’s clash in the best position to so in their history.
