The trial against a South Australian man accused of murder has been vacated after a jury member allegedly googled information despite directions not to do so, a court has heard.
Michael Craig Stanley, 47, was standing trial in South Australia's Supreme Court after pleading not guilty over the shooting murder of Glenn Holton in December 2022 in Adelaide's inner south-west.
On Thursday, Supreme Court Justice Sandi McDonald said a juror had handed her a note expressing that another juror had googled information before sharing it with the rest of the jury pool.
She said the note alleged the juror had "searched the address of a witness and looked up a floor plan".
