Tasmania's former Labor leader has been accused in parliament of inciting misogynistic comments against the racing minister through a Facebook post in a greyhound racing group.
On Wednesday, Dean Winter posted a video of a speech in Question Time in the Facebook group Save Greyhound Racing in TAS — set up in the wake of the Rockliff government's announcement that it was defunding the industry .
The post had the caption, "This morning, I asked Jane Howlett about when she knew about the shutdown of the greyhound racing industry and if she supported it".
By that afternoon, the post had attracted lots of angry comments, including misogynistic slurs and death threats towards Ms Howlett.
