CLEVELAND, Ohio - The St. Luke’s Foundation, an outgrowth of the former St. Luke’s Hospital that closed in 1999, announced plans Wednesday to move its headquarters from the sixth floor of the historic former hospital to a new building a few blocks away.
The new headquarters will be on what is now vacant property at Woodland Avenue and East 110th Street in Cleveland’s Woodland neighborhood.
The foundation said that later this month it will invite architecture firms to submit qualifications to design the building and surrounding outdoor spaces. Then in November, it plans a design competition with input from community members.
The new ground-level headquarters are envisioned as a way to improve accessibility and community connections.
