NEW BEDFORD — The Board of Health is poised to decide whether a 1,500-ton-per-day trash transfer station is suitable for the New Bedford Business Park on Sept. 16.

During one of the four public hearings held to review evidence presented by petitioner South Coast Renewables and opponents, the prospect of court appeal on a denial came up.

Longtime opponent Tracy Wallace, of 75 Stephanie Place, addressed that prospect, saying, “Let them.”

Evidence presented to the board during a meeting Sept. 8 to review the proposal indicated that a denial’s appeal might not go SCR’s way.
