Morning clouds will trend partly cloudy after midday on Thursday, with patchy morning sprinkles giving way to a few showers in the afternoon. Winds will continue from the north at 7-15 mph.

Looking from Friday into the weekend, a stationary front will stay well offshore leaving eastern NC with plenty of sunshine all three days . After cool starts near 60°, highs will peak near 80° each afternoon.
