It has been no surprise that we have seen a lack of rainfall since the start of September, and that string of dry days continued into the past few days. While we had some spotty drizzle and mist, it has not been enough to pick up in the rain gauges. As of this week’s update, all of ENC is in an abnormally dry state.

The last update from the week of September 4th highlighted the onset of an abnormally dry spell forming across ENC. Areas along and south of I-95 were not highlighted in the dry conditions.

The dry spell is expected to continue into the start of the weekend and next week. Our only best chance of rain, if we see any, will be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Not much rain is expected, according to forecast models. If you do not see any help from Mother Nature, it might be a g
