WENTZVILLE, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Side-by-sides get greenlit to drive on certain city streets in Wentzville following a vote by the Board of Aldermen. This is specifically to allow UTVs and ROVs in a four-two vote, although its implementation could be delayed as the mayor promises to veto the ordinance on Thursday morning, but the Board of Aldermen could override as early as two weeks from now at the next meeting.

This happened after a couple of residents asked the Board of Aldermen to consider allowing side-by-sides, like golf carts are currently allowed.

The idea has faced pushback from residents, the police and fire department and the city’s insurer over safety concerns.
