ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis couple said they are thankful to be alive after a motorcycle crash on Interstate 270.
Hollie and Tim Skinner were riding near Lilac and Bellefontaine on August 26 when their bike hit a pothole and threw them off. Hollie suffered three broken ribs and severe road rash across most of her body.
“The doctor walked in and said, ‘Ma’am, you are very lucky to be alive,’” Hollie said.
Tim wasn’t as badly injured, but said the crash left an emotional toll.
“As a husband, my first priority is my wife, and that’s why the screams are still in my ears at night,” Tim said.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports motorcycle crashes are actually down this year in St. Charles County, St. Louis County and St. Louis City. So far in 2025, there have been 160 crash
