TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — On Thursday, Sept. 11, music will turn a day of national tragedy into a night of remembrance and hope.
The "Take the Day Back 9/11 Tribute Concert" will honor the life and legacy of U.S. Army Major Dwayne Williams, an Alabama native who was killed during the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.
This year’s concert will feature four genres of music united by one uplifting message: faith, courage, and honoring an Alabama hero. Performers include Rob Langford as Elvis Presley, Kimberly Harmon as Aretha Franklin, Tuscaloosa jazz saxophonist Loyd Watson Jr., and hip-hop sibling duo Da Bisycle.
