Grant Co. Sheriff’s Office investigating death of woman in Town of Muscoda

MUSCODA, Wis. (WMTV) - Grant County officials are investigating the death of a woman in Muscoda, the Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

A neighbor called law enforcement around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday and asked for someone to check on a woman who appeared to have passed out or died on her driveway, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said. The agency did not state the address in its release.

A deputy responded to the Town of Muscoda home and found a woman, dead, laying on the ground along the driveway.

Grant Co. Sheriff’s Office said it requested the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory’s Crime Scene Response Team to help process the scene because of unusual circumstances.

Grant Co. authorities, including the Coroner’s Office, worked throughout the night to investigate this woman’s death.
