CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three people have been charged after a June animal hoarding investigation led authorities to seize 19 animals from a home in Cheshire, police said.

The suspects, 42-year-old Jennifer Guest, 71-year-old Nancy Guest and 75-year-old Philip Guest turned themselves in on Wednesday and were all charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty.

The investigation began on June 17, when Cheshire animal control officers began looking into an animal hoarding and cruelty complaint at a home on Cook Hill Road. The investigation was turned over to Cheshire authorities after animal control officials were unable to contact the residents and inspect the living conditio
