DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Two breaking and entering suspects were arrested early Thursday morning after officers engaged in a high-speed pursuit through Orange County into the city of Durham.
According to the Mebane Police Department, officers tried to stop a silver van around 4 a.m. on the 100 block of Spring Forest Drive at the Hampton Inn.
"When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply and fled at a high rate of speed," the news release said.
The high-speed chase between the van and police officers went through Orange County and made its way into north Durham. Officers said the driver of the van came to a stop in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on the 1900 block of North Pointe Drive.
