A Massachusetts woman recently won $10 million on a $20 scratch ticket, making her the first person to win the game's top prize.

Sarah Newton of Pittsfield won the Massachusetts State Lottery's "200X" instant ticket game . She chose the cash option, receiving a one-time payment of $6.5 million, before taxes.

She said she plans to buy a house and help her family with her winnings.

Newton bought the winning ticket at Convenience Plus, located at 480 West Housatonic St. in Pittsfield. The store receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
