(WHTM)-- Nearly 100,000 Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing vehicles are potentially being recalled because of problems with the defroster system.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that Toyota is recalling 94,320 certain 2023-2025 bZ4X, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra vehicles due to an inoperative defroster and defogger system, which can reduce the driver's visibility.
According to the NHTSA, certain HVAC system faults, including electrical compressor failure, can cause the defroster and defogger system to become inoperative.
Owners of the potentially impacted vehicles can bring them to a dealer and have their software updated free of charge if necessary. The NHTSA added that dealers will also inspect the electrical compressor and replace it if necessary.
