At one of the first rehearsals for the new season for Belleville’s men’s barbershop chorus, A Cappella Quinte, was a guest conductor in the person of Diane Martin, director of the Port Hope Chorus and the official representative for the Oakridge Division of the Ontario association.
She brought along copies of a barbershop arrangement of a Beatles song, With a Little Help from My Friends, and a skilled tenor to assist with learning it and led the chorus in a brief workshop to begin learning it.
Chorus officials also reviewed a busy season coming up, including participation in the annual East Hill Porch Fest, participation in another Bellefest choral concert, sponsored by the Belleville Choral Society, a possible Christmas concert, a yuletide singout at area retirement homes and a Christma
