Nina Dobrev was focusing on her life as a fiancée.

Nearly six months before the Vampire Diaries actress and Shaun White had ended their engagement , Nina revealed why they hadn't moved forward with wedding planning .

"I really want to enjoy it and not rush that process," she told E! News in March. "We're just enjoying being engaged at this point and being in that sort of phase because a lot of your life is—you have a boyfriend for half of your life and then you have a husband for half of your life, but the fiancé period is very short."

The 36-year-old—who had gotten engaged to Shaun in October 2024—gushed at the time, "It's so fun to say fiancé."
