ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) — A juvenile was arrested Tuesday after firing a BB gun at a school bus, according to the Zephyrhills Police Department.

A release stated that around 4:36 p.m., police responded to the area near Meadowood Loop and Alston Avenue following reports of a BB gun being discharged at a moving school bus.

The bus, which was transporting students from West Zephyrhills Elementary, was struck on the driver's side rear window.

According to the release, one student sustained minor injuries due to broken glass resulting from being struck.

Police identified the suspect, who was also a student from West Zephyrhills Elementary, but was not authorized to be on the bus due to a recent suspension.
