THE Carolina Panthers have fired a member of their communications department over a controversial post following the murder of Charlie Kirk.
The conservative activist was assassinated on Wednesday afternoon while speaking at the Utah Valley University.
The 31-year-old was shot in the neck in front of a young crowd at the college campus.
He was rushed to hospital where he passed from his injuries.
And the Panthers released a statement on Thursday announcing action against a staff member.
According to reports , Charlie Rock, who worked for the NFL team, has been fired.
He allegedly posted on his personal Instagram "why are yall sad?" following Kirk's murder.
