RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County business owner has been charged following a state police investigation into an alleged fraudulent purchase of an off-road vehicle.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the West Virginia State Police, Paul Massey, owner of Massey Powersports in Beckley, is accused of forging a customer’s signature and using false paperwork to secure financing for an $18,094.20 off-road vehicle.

Troopers said the investigation began on September 8, 2025, when a man reported receiving a bill from “Yard Card,” a financing company, demanding payment for the vehicle.
