He wasn’t talking about the laser beam home run he’d hit. He pulverized a 98-mph cutter from right-hander Camilo Doval in the eighth inning for his 33rd homer of the year. The ball left his bat at 107.3 mph and flew on a line 409 feet over the Yankees’ bullpen in right-center.
