CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a man with lottery fraud.

Terrance Patton Jr., 43, of Charleston County, is charged with four counts of intent to defraud and counterfeit game tickets.

The affidavit stated that Patton was captured on video stealing six scratch-off lottery tickets at Circle K in Johns Island on May 26. He allegedly redeemed the stolen tickets for cash prizes totaling $100, according to SLED spokesperson Renée Wunderlich. He was also captured on video allegedly stealing a scratch-off lottery ticket at a Publix in Mount Pleasant on May 29.

Patton also allegedly passed 13 scratch-off lottery tickets to an unknown third party to redeem at another Circle K on Johns Island the same day. He was caught on video stealing the
