The FBI branch of Salt Lake City has released surveillance images of a new person of interest in the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on the Utah Valley University campus Wednesday afternoon.

Kirk was shot once in the neck at around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, while speaking at an event hosted by Turning Point USA at UVU. Officials determined that the shooter was positioned on a rooftop roughly 200 yards away from Kirk.

Two people were detained in connection to the shooting in its immediate aftermath, but both were cleared of involvement and released.
