OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man responsible for a series of crashes in the Bennington area late last year was told Thursday that he will spend a month in jail.

Judge Todd Engleman sentenced Spencer Rademacker to 30 months probation but ordered that Rademacker first spend 30 days in jail to help him understand the consequences of his actions.

In March, Rademacker pleaded “no contest” to criminal mischief resulting in damages of $5,000 or more. He could have been sentenced to as much as two years in prison, as well as a $10,000 fine.

His public defender said in earlier hearings that Rademacker suffers from ADHD and autism, noting that he lives with his parents and has previously been under a conservatorship. The prosecutor also noted at the hearing that Rademacker had been previously convi
