ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Georgia Tech community has reacted to the news that conservative media personality Charlie Kirk is dead.

Kirk died Wednesday after being shot at Utah Valley University while on his America Comeback tour, for Turning Point USA.

“I think it’s a really big tragedy for everyone,” said student Shelby Howerton.

“Very shocked. I did not think a person that magnitude would be able to get killed so soon in his daily life,” said JT Garner.

The opinions on Kirk’s death vary on Georgia Tech’s campus.

“Did he deserve to die? Absolutely no way. But he did contribute a lot to the culture that I think led to his death,” said Avyukta Nagrath.
