It was a busy morning for members of the Weyburn Police Service on Saturday. Complaints came in from a local drinking establishment in the early hours of the day, reporting yelling and screaming.

Deputy Police Chief Shane St. John says officers arrived to find a crowd of people outside of the building.

“They were not sure if it was fighting or what was happening, police just went, dispersed the crowd, and got everyone moving home. One adult male was found very, very intoxicated, not able to care for himself, had no one to care for him. So, he was placed in cells until sober.”

No charges were laid in this matter; however, a later incident yielded different results.
