A Blount County man has been convicted in a child sexual torture case where he drugged the victim, leading to her hospitalization.

The circumstances behind the case

In early May 2021, a 9-year-old girl was left in the care of Ronald Shane Crow, 48, of Trafford, for the weekend, investigators said.

The next day, after her stepfather picked her up, the girl became agitated, hallucinated about insects, snakes and rodents crawling on her, and later began taking her clothes off at home.

After being taken to the hospital, doctors determined she was suffering from methamphetamine and amphetamine toxicity and had to be sedated.
