Take our short survey to help identify barriers, inform policy, and ensure our community has a fair chance at life-saving transplants.
There’s a sobering inequity at the heart of organ donation in America: A federal report released earlier this year revealed that in 2024, Black Americans made up more than a quarter of the national transplant list, yet they are far less likely to receive the kidneys, livers, hearts, and other organs they need to survive. It also found that Black folks accounted for just 13% of organ donors. Word In Black’s research division wants to know why. We’ve launched a short survey to better understand the barriers to donation — whether mistrust, misinformation, or access — and we want to hear directly from you.
