SANTA CLARA — Kendrick Bourne arrived back with the 49ers on Monday.

He might be needed to play on Sunday .

“I don’t think it’s too much to ask,” said Bourne, a wide receiver who enters his ninth NFL season. “But it’s all up to me. It falls on me. So if I go out there and I don’t know what I’m doing, it’s because I didn’t study enough. I’ve been just attacking it this week and I’m excited to see what happens.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m excited to see what’s going to happen.”

Ricky Pearsall was the 49ers’ leading wide receiver in the team’s season-opening win at Seattle. Pearsall had four receptions for 108 yards. The 49ers did not get much production from the other receivers on the roster.
