ORLANDO, Fla. – A ground stop was called Thursday at Orlando International Airport due to an equipment outage, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
“The FAA is slowing departures at Orlando International Airport due to a radar issue at the Central Florida Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON),” the FAA said in a statement. “Technicians are working to address the problem. You can find real-time flight delay information at www.fly.faa.gov ."
Departures to MCO are grounded, according to the FAA. The ground stop was called at 12:28 p.m. ET and is expected to last until 2 p.m. ET with a medium probability (30-60%) of extension, the FAA’s National Airspace System Status website states.
