BEDFORD — The Bedford North Lawrence High School Performing Arts Center will soon bear the name of a man who helped shape the district’s music program for decades. On Friday, October 3, the facility will officially be dedicated as the Guy Rumsey Performing Arts Center during a community ceremony beginning at 6 p.m.
The evening will open with a ribbon-cutting at the PAC entrance led by Mayor Sam Craig, followed by light refreshments in the lobby. At 6:30 p.m., guests will gather inside for a short program featuring a plaque presentation honoring Rumsey, performances by an orchestra made up of alumni and current students, and a finale conducted by Rumsey himself. The celebration will conclude with remarks from Bedford North Lawrence Principal Matthew Canada.
