Netflix’s adult animated slate just grew a whisker with the announcement of Alley Cats, a new six-episode series from Ricky Gervais, with each episode running 15 minutes, set to arrive on the streamer in 2026.

Billed as a slacker sitcom, Alley Cats will follow the trials and tribulations of a group of feral British cats from all walks of society. The cats seek companionship while ruminating on the struggles of everyday life, balancing the absurd and the heartfelt in equal measure. Expect Ricky Gervais’ trademark mix of comedy, biting wit, and social commentary to shine through.

The series will be brought to life courtesy of the award-winning UK studio Blink Industries , which has worked with Netflix on Dead End: Paranormal Park and an episode of Love, Death & Robots. Else
