Ottawa Hills girls cross country is ranked No. 1 in Division IV by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches for the second consecutive week.

The Green Bears earned 10 of 12 first-place votes this week for the top spot, gaining one first-place vote from last week.

Ottawa Hills recently finished first out of 18 teams at the Tiffin Carnival by 67 points. They also won the Seneca East Tiger Classic on Aug. 23. and placed second at the BGSU Mel Brodt Invitational on Aug. 30.

Sophomores Emily Chen and Natalie Nixon, freshmen Molly Mullan and Piper Padgett, and junior Mercy Alamina lead Ottawa Hills, which has never won a cross country state championship.
