MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Moline Parks & Recreation is introducing it’s new tool the Goosinator which they say will help deter geese from high-use areas.
The Goosinator, developed using research from Cornell University, is a brightly colored remote-controlled device designed to safely and humanely chase geese, officials said.
Moline’s Goosinator will be in action at:
Riverside Park and pond
Trails and shelters along Ben Butterworth Parkway
Riverside Riverslide parking lot
The Goosinator will be operated by Moline Parks Maintenance staff throughout the coming weeks and months, officials said.
“The Goosinator will allow us to better manage geese populations throughout our parks in a responsible and humane way,” said Director of Parks and Recreation, Eric Griffith.
