DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A 23-year-old young man from Dayton has been indicted on counts for an alleged connection to the death of a Paul Laurence Dunbar High School student in downtown.

According to the Montgomery County Prosecting Attorney’s Office, Julius Maurice Williamson, Jr. was indicted on Thursday, Sept. 11.

A deadly shooting happened on the morning of Friday, April 4. Dayton PD officers were sent to 27 S. Jefferson Street for a reported shooting. There, crews found an 18-year-old young man, Alfred Hale, III, who was on the nearby sidewalk. Hale had been shot in the chest.

Medics took the young man to Miami Valley Hospital, but he died from his injuries.
