UNION, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Union Public Safety Department reports no charges will be filed after a deadly shooting in August was determined to have been in self-defense.

Police said they responded to South Pickney Street behind Buddy’s Corner Store around 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 18. They found a man lying in the grass.

Union County EMS transported the man to Union Medical Center, where he passed away. The Union County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Ieshaun Dunn, 28, of South Church Street, Union.

Officials said that the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was contacted to assist with the investigation.
