RIO ARRIBA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A Rio Arriba County deputy is facing charges for fraud and embezzlement. Deputy Trevor Walker is accused of intercepting garnished wages he owed to his former employer, the City of Aztec, and depositing that money into his own account. He's also accused of claiming over unworked overtime hours on his time card.
Walker was put on leave back in July when New Mexico State Police launched their investigation. He has been with Rio Arriba County for nearly two years.
