DAVIS, W.Va. (WBOY) — A new weather station has been installed at the newly established Dobbin Slashings Preserve in Tucker County, and on Monday, it had the coldest temperature in the entire United States.

Situated between Dolly Sods and Canaan Valley—which already regularly records the among the coldest temperatures in the U.S.—Dobbin Slashings is one of the wettest, coldest and snowiest places in West Virginia. The Nature Conservancy which owns the land said that it is one of the most unique environments in the state, and the new weather station is already proving that.
