LEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Massachusetts State Police conducted an "enforcement blitz" along the Mass. Pike resulted in stopping over 350 commercial vehicles.
In a statement released by the State Police, the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section (Truck Team) performed the most productive operations to date. Last week, they not only stopped 369 trucks but also conducted 310 inspections and issued 767 violations. A total of 79 vehicles and drivers were taken out of service, and fines amounted to $56,770.
The enforcement blitz also led to three criminal enforcement actions, including one arrest and two summonses. The Truck Team's enforcement highlights the ongoing efforts to ensure safety and compliance on the roads, with significant fines and violations issued during the operation.
