WASHINGTON — At the height of the Trump administration's federal surge in the District , the Columbia Heights neighborhood in Northwest, D.C. was one of the epicenters for immigration enforcement, protests and tension between residents and law enforcement.

The morning of Aug. 14, WUSA9 captured the moment a food delivery driver was taken into custody along 14th St. NW while he was waiting for an order. The incident was just one out of a series of immigration enforcement arrests targeting moped drivers.

After D.C. residents started sharing videos of food couriers being arrested by federal agents accompanied by DC Police officers, some of the food delivery drivers opted for driving bicycles instead.
