A Rehoboth man who managed a commercial driving school in Brockton has been sentenced to a month in federal prison, followed by one year of supervised release, for giving passing scores to four Massachusetts State Police troopers who applied for commercial licenses but never took the required exams, US District Attorney Leah B. Foley’s office said Tuesday.
Scott Camara, 44, falsified records for the four troopers, and then lied about it when he testified before a grand jury, according to a statement from Foley’s office.
Camara was one of six people, including three troopers and a State Police sergeant, charged in the conspiracy that involved bribery , spanned nearly four years, and resulted in nearly 30 people fraudulently getting commercial driver’s licenses, according to a 74-count
