Pulaski County Road Department's efforts to keep up with pothole repairs has hit another setback after one of its specialized roadwork trucks went out of service.

The county road department is responsible for maintaining more than 1,000 miles of roads, a task officials describe as a constant challenge. With the breakdown of a dump truck used to pull the county's "total patcher" machine, that work has been brought to a near standstill.
