ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning in a crash in north St. Louis County.

The crash happened just after 9 a.m. on North Lindbergh Boulevard just north of Cougar Drive. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 73-year-old man was struck. He was taken to an area hospital via helicopter.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

MSHP says a 24-year-old man from Florissant was inattentive while driving and traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit the victim.
